There are only two isofix mounts - I have 2 quite large child seats in the back and wouldn't be able to fit a third in
I have ordered one of these and was close to cancelling today as I heard a horror story that the eqb wouldn’t take 3 seats. Do you mind me asking what set up seats you were using? We have one in a rear facing 18 month old. One in a high backed booster 7 years old and then 8 year old who can go into a booster so im really worried after reading the eqb is smaller than the eqc!Hi,
I know this is an old thread and the people on it have already made their decisions but I really struggled to find info when deciding on our next car and this thread pops up when I search so thought I'd add my 2 pence!
Today we decided to go and view the EQC and the EQB. Everywhere seems to suggest the EQB is smaller and having read above that someone only just managed to get 3 car seats in the claimed "bigger" EQC we thought the EQB would be a write off.
Firstly, there is no way you could safely get 3 car seats in an EQC. Absolutely no way on earth. If someone has managed to jam them in, I guarantee they are not safely fitted and frankly I'd love to see a photo as I can't see it even being possible no matter how hard you ram them in. It's barely wider than my sky remote between the buckles. The middle seat is tiny tiny. My skinny 7 year old said the buckles dug into her ass hard either side when sitting in the middle seat and that was without car seats either side! This is a 4 seat car, not a 5 seat. I am a petite adult female and it was horrible even for a short journey, if a small child (that needs a car seat) won't fit in the middle seat without a car sear then it's not fit for purpose and shouldn't even be called a seat!
We then looked at the EQB, it's much much better! Our sons skinny no back booster fits in the middle between seats (we checked) He actually doesn't need a booster as a very very tall and heavy 9 year old but he likes it as he finds it more comfortable. It's not as spacious as our XC90 but we didn't expect it to be. The leg room for them is great and all round we were impressed! Almost no boot with the very rear 2 seats up but those two seats will only be used occasionally when we have our nieces or visit my mum anyway.
If you're considering the EQC with 2 kids then great, they'll fit and the isofix points are very easy to access, it's also a nice looking car. But if you have 3 children to fit in it then definitely go for the EQB instead!
