Cheers Dar thanks for the speedy reply - I'm torn between the pinstripe and the stars !!!!!To my subjective eyes! Pinstripe "photo" on top looks more special than the other wood (in photo at least). Grey with backlit stars helps brighten the dark upholstery cabin and is the most popular option and also the one I would choose IF back/grey upholstery
When I took delivery of my EQS SUV in October the choices on the lot were yacht (pin stripe) or black linden wood. From the photos I was leaning towards the yacht style trim. In person, the stripes seemed too far apart to me. My SUV has the black linden wood trim and I have grown to like it even though it seemed a little plain the first time I saw it in person.I test drove the EQE couple weeks ago and loved it. I will get it with cirrus silver and black MBtek. The car I test drove had that laser cut trim whatever and the salesman said it is the most popular trim. I did not like it at all, kind of gimmicky and plastic looking. I am leaning to that yacht design (you called it pin stripe) but that is a 1500 usd option (ouch !). The brown walnut trim kind of looking .. laminated so I am not so sure. Did anyone had black linden wood trim ? What do you think ? BTW, is this (and the brown walnut) real wood ? or laminate veneer ? Thanks in advance
Thank you very much. I did not see any car at the lot with those 2 trims hence it is very hard to decide. From the picture, yes, the yacht design looks very stylish. The linden wood I know would looked nice too but I am afraid the whole thing will be too dark if I go with black mbtex as upholstery. When I took delivery of my EQS SUV in October the choices on the lot were yacht (pin stripe) or black linden wood. Totally agreed ! $1500 just for that pinstripe dash trim on the front does not make sense. I guess MB folks wanted to charge that much because they think the clients who wanted that specific style will pay whatever ?Except the EQE doesn't have any "trim" on the inside door "arms" like shown in the EQS above. It makes me wonder even further why the EQE has such exorbitant costs for its interior trim options.
Just a heads up about the laser cut MB pattern, It is light up, but at least the ones we are getting on the west coast seem to be damaged in shipping or delivery. Mine had a 5-7 inch quarter oval scratch on the dash.
