I saw a SW update message that read something like 'Google Maps and new graphical enhancements' last night.

The main screen was flooded with Google locator markers in multiple colours to draw attention to the fact. Will try get a photo when I start it tomorrow ... usually these update messages flash up 2 or 3 times. Strangely it does not yet show as an applied update on the app. But that I've also seen in the previous updates.

But then I read this just .... is it connected or coincidence? Or are they road testing on the big Merc?

Saw it today but have not used it yet. I was just happy to see that my favorites and previous destinations were still intact.

I saw it as well. Problem is, since that time I have had significant issues with the navigation system, with the system saying "road not mapped" and not able to navigate. In addition, the automatic Lane change feature now has stopped working regularly, perhaps only 10% of the time that it used to work (on the exact same roads). Something strange has occurred with this last update...

Easy answer is if it’s a 2025 MY EQS,

I spent little too much time listening to MB investors presentation and their press release. MBUX even with ‘3rd Generation’ they are launching with the new E class Mercedes is still using HereMaps with Google POI (same as ours)

I believe this would be the case for a while since MB OS doesn’t seem to be at a point where they can show off images too. Which tells me 2025 is a bit too optimistic but delays are good nice what good is having support for apps when you have no apps, Since MB OS is NOT Google Automotive Solutions

I believe this is the right strategy, to build transitional products and match base feature sets across them.

I’m new here but if I can influence someone I’d ask for MBUX NTG7 users to urge Mercedes to match our vehicles to MBUX 3rd generation feature set coz it does look like NTG7 was the test bed for these newer system.

I dunno about you I’d be open to going into service to get the update specially since MB likes for us to have a relationship with the dealers

Search for a POI in the navigation search screen, like a restaurant. Instead of starting the navigation, scroll drown and you find pictures and reviews just like whats available on google maps

Doesn’t that mean you have Google places data and not google maps.
