Hi,

my rear tires already need to be replaced, front will soon. SUV is 3 months old with 11k miles, almost all highway miles. Thoughts?

What make are they?
My GoodYears are showing normal wear but I don’t expect to get great wear on a 5,500 lb car.
Your 11,000 sounds problematic

If its an EQC then I bet they have not changed the front geometry from the GLC which means the design fault that scrubs tyeres still exists.

It is an EQS SUV. They actually told me that they looked bald at like 8-9k miles. I did get them replaced and was told to expect only 10k miles on rear tires from now on.
I looked through the owners manual for my EQS sedan and its calling for a much shorter rotation interval (for a square setup).

On vehicles that have the same size front and rear wheels, rotate the wheels according to the intervals in the tire manufacturer's warranty book in your vehicle documents. If this is not available, rotate the tires every 3,000 to 6,000 miles (5,000 to 10,000 km), depending on the wear. Ensure that the direction of rotation is maintained.
