I’m receiving an error in my EQS450 that the charging socket flap is open each day. I have verified that the flap is closed. Has anyone experienced this?

I would check the part held on by string is properly secured and that flap is flush with the body. Then contact Mercedes for fix

What part held on by a string? I don't have any parts under the flap except the piece below the main plug in

Yes. A new part is on order but is taking some time. Have you found a solution or workaround?

I had this happen and took it to the dealership. Mine would not open manually or through the EQ screen. They were able to fix it in a few hours. Not sure exactly what they did though. They never like to reveal their secrets. Make sure to tell them that the option to open it from the EQ screen is greyed out, (I assume that it is) and you are not able to open it that way either.

Have the same issue on my EQS580. It started after not driving the car for about three weeks, at 80% charge. Probably has nothing to do with the issue but that’s the only thing that happened between no error message and “socket flap open” msg
