News on EQ recalling -

I am an EQB owner and found that my car's coolant dropped quickly only three months after buying the car. When the dealership store checked my car, I saw pink coolant spots everywhere underneath the engine. It turns out that it is a common problem among all EQC, EQA and EQB cars due to the flawed motors (they were imported so it should be a global issue).

I saw there were some posts in the forum complaining about the coolant issues - please check with your dealership and replace the motor right away!

Also EQ car owners in China are striving for returning the car and getting reimbursement. Given that Mercedes failed twice to fix the coolant leakage issue (previously in EQC and this year in EQB/A), we cannot trust that Mercedes can ensure the safety of EQ owners by completely fixing the motors.

Thanks for posting this we are seeing people here in europe having low coolant warnings but in many cases it seems to be an airlock issue. I have still not seen reports of the more serious problems being experienced in China. However the attached article is very informative in it describes what to look for ie evidence of water drops around the motor bay ( seems off to say engine bay for an EV🤣) Please keep us informed. It will be interesting to see if the European press picks up on the issue. My car is in the build period though it was built in Bremen but if it is a component fault used worldwide it could be at risk. Should I get a recall I will advise.

Our first EQC back in Aug had the top up coolant message appear on the dashboard just 2 weeks of ownership. I’d taken it to our local Mercedes’ dealership and at first they said the same thing you all mentioned about releasing the pressure, anyways that was corrected and within a couple more weeks we had the top up coolant message again. This time Mercedes’ diagnosed the problem relating to a faulty valve. This valve is on a back order and eta is 2 months for the fix. So Mercedes’ decided to replace our car with another new EQC. Taken possession yesterday and guess what! TOP UP COOLANT message on this one too…….
