Hello everyone,

I am in the market for a used car and came across a 2009 Mercedes Benz E350 with a V-6 3.5L engine. The title status is listed as salvage, which has me concerned. I am hoping to get some advice from members of this forum who have experience with buying cars with salvage titles.

What should I consider before making a decision on this car? Are there any red flags or warning signs I should be aware of? How does the salvage title impact the value and reliability of the car?

I guess I was in the wrong forum, nonetheless i appreciate you guys for your recommendation, after looking up this car with Detailed Vehicle History, i decided not to buy it because it has so many previous owners about four, with a major accident, an alter odometer and an open recall. infact i was so surprised.

Well this is the MB community forum for EV’s so I suspect this isn’t the best place to come for advice on your V6 I am guessing there is a forum for them out there somewhere though.

This is definitely the wrong forum! However you will find plenty of help and advice on this one which is also far more US orientated.
I had an estate version of this model 2007 and It was mechanically sound until about 2 years ago though the new owners did not have it serviced at Mercedes. They are now disposing as the brake lines are rusted and dropping the rear axle to replace it too expensive.
