Discounts or deals on an EQ

Hi All,

Starting to look at the EQ vehicles and am impressed with the new mercedes electric vehicles. Can I ask are there my discounts or deals to be had at dealers anymore? They seem to suggest the price online is the price you pay, no deals or discounts can be made even on stock available immediately? Is this your experience in the U.K.?
Used to be able to ask for extras like floor mats and full tank petrol (full charge battery?) but maybe now gone are the days.

Any advice from those who have been through the order process with dealer appreciated.
Cheers.

What sort of discount 10-20% off in stock cars? I'll try to ask my dealer for same in UK.
There was a 0% interest on the last EQC a couple of weeks ago. It is now a discontinued model so they will want to shift the remaining stock. Cannot rate this car highly enough but mine was not too despecced so has Burmester and other toys but in terms of ride and performance they are top. It is in effect the best Mercedes I have ever owned.
I am waiting in an EQE suv but had there not been all the issues with long lead times I would have kept my EQC longer. I am however not too keen on keeping it too long as the technology is improving all the time.

Thanks for sharing, I presume if it's long lead times, there is unlikely to be any deals to be done or discounts?
Worth asking if your employer offers a lease scheme via salary sacrifice in the UK. Even if they don't now, they might if you speak to the right person within your organisation, assuming you're still working? My wife got her EQA through the NHS leasing scheme - because the payment is taken before tax, it in effect saves that amount, plus a bit of NI contribution off your take-home pay. As it also includes fully comp insurance, all servicing, warranty for the full 4 years, European breakdown cover, tyre cover (including replacement when worn out), plus hard-wired dash cam professionally installed, no upfront deposit, etc, etc. Amazing deal if you have any connection to the NHS or another employer that offers this sort of deal.

I lease and went from an e class estate to the EQC on a really good deal inc no deposit, 18mth freedom to change car and around 13.5% discount and very low interest. This time it is only 9% discount and I decided to put a deposit in as the interest rate is much higher but still low compared to most offers but I a, still on an 18mth deal but over 48mths. The basic price difference between the 2 cars is huge and I was wavering until I had an EQE saloon for a couple of days and I realised the price does indeed reflect the increased technology in the new car.
This is my 5th car with the dealer and I am treated as a loyal and longstanding customer with lots of niceties thrown in so I think the 9% is about the best on offer and Ihave seen reference to that sort of figure before. My car is just going back into the dealers stock no questions so no worries re the end of lease inspections etc.
I only have a possible delivery time of Oct/Nov and as yet no build date. The dealer had ordered one though quite when I am not sure for a build date in June and arrival in the summer🤷‍♀️so I think there are quite long lead times.
Being totally honest I think Mercedes are trying to control their market a bit as we got called we’re we interested in the EQE by Mercedes France and then our garage to arrange the test drive although we had already discussed the situation with the garage and they had said they would be in contact in April anyway. So we have a perfectly good car to use whilst we wait for the EQE and if the build time slips there are no complications of our car needing to be returned which we did experince whilst waiting for the EQC (our garage simply lent us a car out of stock as they had done before when the e class was delayed🙄).
Mercedes we’re really caught out with the chip shortage and many owners waited ages only to get cars with bits missing inc me as we were supposed to have Augmented Reality for the navigation the one thing we did not get and our dealers gave us some goodies to compensate inc an 8m 32amp charging cable.
The U.K. is a tougher market I think and Mercedes have moved more to the agency relationship with the dealer who is simply paid to deliver the car in effect as opposed to the traditional retail model where the dealer buys the car and resells it to you and can therefore cut the margin between you.

Thanks for replies, very helpful, looks like more chance of discounts abroad, but maybe better finance or schemes here in the UK.
