I wonder if models like this and the E-Tron GT will start to have an impact on Model S sales. I feel like there were a lot of Mercedes and Audi customers who took a leap of faith with the less than stellar products from Musk.

I like Tesla because they're open to change and often shift faster to newer methods. Audi does however have the advantage of being a well established household name

Tesla's dominance over the EV market is numbered to say the least. They came dangerously close to bankrupty during production issues with the Model 3. Still see a lot of complaints over panel gaps and paint quality.

Started to realize that and the first sign was them venturing into commercial vehicles, meanwhile other car makers are pushing to launch 6-10 different EV's well before 2025.

They have become a bit too focused on merely hitting production quota's imo and that's why we have seen a big drop in QA. It's going to be a lot easier for an established automaker like Merc to offer mass market EV's.

What they have accomplished in a such a short period of time should not be understated. That being said I do think new EV's from MB, Audi and Porsche will quickly reclaim a lot of lost market share.

Elon has accomplished what he set out to do, and that was to bring the automotive industry into electrification. Whether or not Tesla survives the next few years, it will be remembered as the company that started this revolution.
