EQA 250 lost D--?

2005 Views 8 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  Mikeyboy
Hi,
I just received my EQA after one year waiting for it... and most of the extras were not coming...
I remember that one year ago I had D-- option but it seems not the case now.
The dealer explained that software changed and now only goes to D-.
Any one have the same?
Thanks.

My EQA was delivered last October and it only has D-, D, D+ and D Auto. I don’t remember if the two cars I test drove in summer, had D- - either. The drivers manual does mention D- - so it must have been available at some earlier time.

Mine has D- - (in addition to D-, D, D+ and D Auto). I believe it was originally delivered - in Melbourne - in May 2021, so it would have been an early 2021 build. I paid a premium for it as an ex-demonstrator vehicle (not my preference), because of stock shortages and the deletion of certain features which were included in the early builds.

My EQA has full electric seats, the MBUX Innovation package, Vision package, including Burmester sound system and, I believe, a few other inclusions which have been dropped due to the semi-conductor shortage. Perhaps D- - is one of those "inclusions".

So is the D- more like the original D--, i.e. aggressive enough to allow one pedal driving? My EQC has both but I don't think I've ever used D-. Maybe that's the one they've got rid of, and bumped D-- up to now be called D-.
Mine was built in January this year. It has D-- but I don't use it, preferring to keep it in D unless on a long winding descent, where I'll use D-

Yes, D- does allow one pedal driving, so you could be right.

All 2022 EQA 250 has smaller battery (69.7 kwh) is lighter and faster (0-100 kph). Unfortunately strong recuperation D-- not available due to smaller above buffer. Charging curve changed too. Before in 80% SOC we could get 80 kw, now no more than 45 kw.
Eqa 300 and eqa 350 no impact I believe.

I have a 350, Manf April 22, D-- is no longer present :(
I also test drove a EQA250 which had D- - but took delivery of my EQA350 in March (build date December 2021) which only has D- although that does feel very much like the D- - in the 250 that I tested. Only feature is the blind spot warning - couldn't get any other whizz bangs that I wanted (I especially miss the electric memory seats, distronic cruise control and the panoramic roof!) due to the semi-conductor shortage. As soon as they all become available, I do intend to chop in my 350 to get the EQA 350 premium plus to get the spec I want...
