Can anyone here with more experience with these car help me out please. I am new to the forum, and whilst I think the car, an EQA 350 is utterly glorious, it does have some incredibly annoying habits!
When I was out in the car today the o/side lights stopped working, both day running light and indicator as the message on the dashboard had enlightened me. When I next stopped, I checked the front light and the plastic headlight lens had a nasty crack in it. I was able to push the broken plastic slit together and after a gentle tap on the corner of the lens the lights came back, however now I am home and its got colder in the evening there is condensation in the lens, and the off side lights just refuse to go on or the indicator work, so my question is, do the lights stop if damp gets behind the lens, is it a connection that needs taking off and putting on again.
Secondly as a premanent solution, it needs a new light, are the plastic covers available on their own, or is it a complete new light unit. Is that M-B only?
It seems strange that the lights have completely gone, as in the normal world a car headlight would continue to work despite a cracked lens, can anyone suggest any connection to check just so I can use the car during the dark.
Any help would be much appreciated.
