Today I finally got rid of those terrible windscreen wiper noises because of the original MB wipers.
I bought some Bosch ones (A206s aerotwin for EQA) and if you compare them, they are a bit more
beefy compared to the MB ones. Apparently it’s a problem across the board with EQA and GLA models and asking the dealership how to fix this they suggested buying new ones (from them).
They did not recognise the problem however. Original ones are custom made for MB but are flawed since I noticed the angle of the blade of the smallest wiper on the right side (passenger side for left hand drive car) was not straight on the windscreen but angled inwards which resulted in the loud screeching. I have seen on this forum someone recommending the A207s Bosch model but I couldn’t find them in Belgium. That user also mentioned a size difference to the original ones. My A206s ones I bought are the same size as the originals. Fitting was very easy, when having put the blades in service mode. Service mode is contact on, contact off, then pushing the wiper spray button until they park themselves in vertical position.

I had the car (eqa300) since august and I have nothing but praise… My speedometer says 14400km
today, and have not had any issue. Just small remarks, in my opinion battery saving techniques like when you use the wiper on continuous, it will switch to auto after 10-15 seconds… annoying because the auto wiper isn’t fast enough in its reaction. My E-class is doing a much better job with this.
Also, sometimes when changing lanes on the motorway, leaving enough space between cars (no red light in the sidemirror) the car brakes heavily as to prevent me from changing lanes. Braking for steering you in the opposite direction. I guess there are some limitations to the electric intelligence…. Luckily doesn’t happen to often. But int the grand scheme of things, i am very happy with this car.

About braking when change lanes, my understanding is to check indicator is engaged when change lanes to help car understand it is not drifting outside it's lane. Especially when cross the lane divide, the indicators should be on. Not sure if having indicators on prior to changing makes a difference too.

Good remark but yes, I always use the indicators (blinkers) when changing lanes, even activating
them before changing lanes. Talking about sometimes weird behaviour: when using cruise control (distronic) on the motorway it sometimes slows me down for no reason. It happens where 120km is allowed, with no obstacles in front of me, no local speed limit signs or anything….
I drove the eqe for some time and that one never failed me with distronic or strange braking when switching lanes. I did this on the same motorway I often travel for about 200km’s many times. whith the eqa it does it allways at least once or twice on that track.

EQE is an improvement in that regard.

On EQC, likely closer to EQA than EQE, I have experienced wiper noise too compared to previous cars. I also experienced lane change causing slowdown, with adaptive cruise engaged, where the edge of the road joined another lane. I guess the car didn't recognize yet that the edge of the road become a lane. It sounds as if your experience might be something different though. I'm not sure if you have the option and it is enabled but at high speeds a brief tap, not all the way, on the indicator stalk, makes lane charging simpler because car will steer towards the new lane instead of away or neutral. Another option to check if present is if disabling route based speed adaption helps, in case car thinks indicator is for a junction

It hasn't happened to me for a long time but slowing sometimes would happen from overhead bridges sending reflections back to the radar sensor, with adaptive cruise engaged.

Other times the windscreen camera seems to see a new speed limit that doesn't exist and that causes slowing or speeding

I have disabled route based speed adaption on my EQA250 and I much prefer the adaptive cruise function without it. I find it clever sometimes, but more often than not its behaviour is erratic, contributing to a less than smooth driving experience and, I suspect, less efficient energy use.
