EQC Augmented Reality & MBUX Dashcam app

Hi everyone,
me again.
I’m interested to know:
- if anyone has been able to use the Augmented Reality & MBUX dashcam app to record trips & act as a dashcam.
I am praying the app is available and allowed in the UK.
- & if it records both front and back

Without my EQC arriving yet I cannot confirm

So I wanted to confirm from anyone who actually has their car with the Augmented Reality option.
I know teslas can record trips using their cameras, I hope so for EQC also.

I suggest double-check what options you are actually going to get in your build, such as if you will even get Augmented Reality. Assuming you do get it, the dashcam is basic. Front only and requires manually to be turned on for each drive in UK etc. Therefore I also suggest you consider getting aftermarket cameras anyway.

Thanks so much. Yes I think I have The AR option.
Does the front only dashcam record sound or is it video only ?

No sound. Also regarding AR the reason I say check (with factory) is because some people have reported expecting it but it wasn't in their actual physical car due to lack of communication. One person said dealer would eventually add at later date but for other people the situation is vaguer to me atm

Missing chips

Hi Having picked up my new eqc premium plus at the back end of August, with the salesman saying that it came with all the chips, very lucky etc., I discover that it is missing the augmented reality chip. After three days, still silence from the UK Mercedes-Benz. As the dealer thought it had...

Yep mine del Sept 21 on a promise still not fulfilled for AR but everything else was there. I will chase when it goes in for its service.

I just got round to calling them.
No Augmented reality
No Wireless charger
No energising package

apparently all of those have got dropped from the brochure about 1 year ago.

I really wanted AR for dashcam.
i think this news might be the straw that broke the camels back.
Time to explore my options

Aftermarket newer options for dashcam and wireless charging should be better. For example inbuilt wireless charger can't keep my Samsung charged enough, especially noticeable on longer journeys with Spotify and navigation. Mercedes may be able to get installed newer ones for you before delivery. Some even might fit into the same area for example this one or there are double systems for more than one phone.
