It would make sense to move C-segment SUV to a dedicated platform, like it's bigger models, to get improved range and hopefully (until now absent) luxuries like soft-close doors, and to internationalize it's sales. This will require discontinuing existing model instead of mid-life minor improvements.
No need skip ordering EQC due to it's absence, or if so it should be temporary. When EQC current model orders are ramping down possibly next year 2023, I expect to be able order it's replacement for delivery late 2023/2024. If indications are this revised model will suit USA too then it may appear there else they may possibly go with EQB as the nearest equivalent in USA. Interestingly next EQC is due to be built on a new but still-not-completely-dedicated platform. Biased more to electric though than current platform.
