Hi! My MY20 EQC is not able to handle 32A from a single phase wall charger, although other Mercedes hybrid to this nicely.

More, other EQC owners are getting 32A (7.4 kW) from the single phase charger.

Asked the dealership, but anything more complex than a spark plug they can’t process.
So no solution so far… 3.4kW is the max I can get. :(

I’ve read that there is some kind of config that the dealer can do, but have zero details on that.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!!!

@A2day, check the configut=ration on the Car. In the MBUX system, under EQ there is a charging options, mine is set to maximum, then under the o0ption you can see there is the ability to change to 8Amps and 6 Amps, yours by be set to 8 Amps. see images. Good luck.

Realmente aprecio los comentarios. A veces, la respuesta más obvia es la que tenemos delante (bastante habitual en estos días ajetreados en los que vivimos ...)

Felicitaciones Clint D

Gracias Mandingolary! :)

That was exactly what I got in another group.. but my Mercedes shop is completely oblivious to what they need to do...

Check the cable you are using to connect the wall box to the car. More than likely a 16amp cable instead of a 32amp one.
If that was the case, then any car put under that wallbox would be limited to 16A. Like I wrote, at least two cars got 32A from the same wallbox/cable (the wallbox has a cable attached)

If you are on a single phase and you have a 60w fuse the wall box could be regulating the power to protect the circuit. It ain’t the car.
It’s not the box, as it delivers 32A to other electric cars. Same cable, same box.
Like Mandingolary said, it looks like a car setup thing.
Just trying to get which, to tell the Mercedes dealer, as they are clueless.

Wallbox Pulsar Plus

If you manage to sort it could you let me know. I would be interested to see if it is actually a car config issue. I’m not finding very knowledgable technicians at merc in regards to the eqc.

Presumably you don’t have any sort of Load Management Device on the circuit do you (or built into the wall box)?
Seems unlikely that every time you plug in the load is being limited and the times others have used it the load wasn’t limited / other electrical devices weren’t on, but worth checking I guess.

I do. But the same applies when connecting other cars. Why is limiting just for the EQC? The GLC Hybrid gets 7.4kW 100% of the time I connect.
