Hello All. I too recently purchased the EQS 450 4matic SUV last month. The vehicle started having charging issues last week. The intial issue was failure to charge at rapid charger. A few days after I noticed the charge was being utilized rather quickly. Within a day or two after that a warning light popped up indicating, "have high voltage system checked", fortunatley I was with my husband when this occured because the subsequent error message was "stop vehicle" in bright red with a battery icon. I was floored and quite upset that this brand new vehicle was having issues already not to mention that this happened late evening during the recent rain storms, if I had been alone or far away from home this would have been even worse! I had the dealership tow the vehicle in. I just received a voicemail from my service advisor stating that they "believe" the issue is with the voltage regulator and it has to be ordered from Germany. This is my 7th Mercedes and it may be my last if they can't get their quality control in line. This car had a hefty price tag and for that amount of money I would like to have quality and peace of mind, its not like you can call AAA and have them give you a jump and be on your way! I'm honestly hesitant about taking this vehicle back as this incident has robbed me of my peace of mind and safety, especially when having to travel far distances alone. My husband did a little digging and asked some questions about this particular component and was informed that it controls the voltage that is carried to the batteries and failure could potentially damage the batteries or other components. I feel that even when they replace the part there could be other issues to follow later that are a result of this component failing. If any other owners have encountered this issue, can you inform us of how it was fixed and if there has been any subsequent problems.
