In the past, only BMW had wireless CarPlay, but we are already some years later, so I would assume the EQS has it as well? However, I can only find articles online about wired/usb CarPlay, not about a wireless connection?

Someone can confirm if the EQS has wireless CarPlay capabilities?

It's not a promoted feature but this excerpt from USA owner's manual says you can connect android/carplay through bluetooth instead of cable if you prefer; I understand Belgium cars are the same for this feature but in the unlikely event this is not the case, you can buy an aftermarket usb dongle to convert to wireless which is what I did with EQC.

Hi Sven, Apple car play BT works fine in my car. Recently had a software update since my car is dec.21 delivery..
My daughter uses it from the back seat to play her playlist on Spotify.

and since you're from Belgium as well, do you have the dashcam and does it auto-start? I have to activate the dashcam at the start of every drive, verre annoying?

Dashcam remains to be manually started. Then you get the privacy warning.
after 30.000km a lady crashed into my parked car. Got it on the collision camera feature. Great feature! Luckily she also left a note

I just updated my iPhone to iOS 16 and my EQS 450+ is showing the following message when I try to launch Apple CarPlay:

"Apple CarPlay could not be started. Your device has been connected as a Bluetooth phone."

Any suggestions?

I do have the same issue sometimes. The dealer told me it is a software bug. I've started to have the issue after a major MBUX Hyperscreen update.

I received my 2023 EQS 580 sedan about 2 weeks ago and I have the same problem getting Apple CarPlay to load and operate. I contacted my dealer and they are looking into it. I will post whatever the result is.

I’m having that issue now. Is there a way to fix it? Can you do a manual restart or something?
