My EQS 580 won’t accept a charge. I’m getting the below error. I’ve only got 3000 miles on this car. I’m having a real problem with a car in this price range having an issue. This is at the core of the cars ability to function. Anyone else have this problem?

Good day Dennis. I suspect the price relates more to luxury and features than it does to zero garage visits. The complication of new tech might even increase the risk of garage visit requirement yet Mercedes have managed to keep a balance between occasional garage visits and the new amazing. Compared to cars that may require a few less garage visits per decade varying from an older-tech tiny Dacia to a Lexus UX 300e, I would choose Mercedes EQ. Hopefully car is being repaired for you well at a reputable place and you can experience another interesting car while you wait.

I have a variation of this....EQS 580 set to standard, max 80% , charges to 73% and shows Charging error"??????

Good day Richie. I would check the exact wording of the error. It should be findable in the owner's manual, if unfortunately a detailed step-by-step procedure is not given on touchscreen. If difficult to find, I would contact Mercedes

Hi all, all's well that ends well. Best policy is to read all of the instructions. Chargepoint homecharger required me to turn off the charging schedule in the car. I did not, so there was a conflict between the Chargepoint schedule and the car schedule. I chose to turn off the Chargepoint schedule....car charged to 80%.

Top stuff Ricie, glad it ended well. And in fairness, there is a lot of options and interesting stuff to get to grips with. Is part of the fun and occasionally the frustration.

Mind we could argue that due to the deep option set on the car (a good thing) that the handover and education session from MB should be longer and more detailed. I've asked for this for the wife and I. And there are a couple of useful lengthy set up videos on Youtube that are worth a look. That said they are not covering charging set up to the detail you mention.
