Welcome to the MBEQClub, Vahan!

You will be well-rewarded by using the "Search Community" search box at the top of the page. You will see lots of people writing about issues with their EQ cars, as well as solutions, workarounds and learnings.

As you read through all the issues and owner adventures, keep in mind that the members here are not a representative cross-section of all the EQ owners out there. Members here are either enthusiasts, who are obsessed with their cars (who, me??) or they are people who started looking online to find places like the MBEQClub where they can find solutions to problems they are having.

I have had my EQE SUV 500 for 1 year and 4 months now and I love it. I've had next to no issues with it and wouldn't hesitate to make the same purchase decision again.

Thanks for reply, I am coming from a MAZDA fuel-engine SUV. So I am looking for a luxury EV just for everyday use in the city and for my comfort. The main concern for me is whether it has any specific widespread issues I should be concerned of? such as transmission errors, motor errors, not starting, such stuff. Is the electronics working good? Are there any issues after certain mileage is past?

Hi, Vahan.

I live in Japan and have driven my EQE 350+ for approximately 17,000 kilometers.

The Bridgestone tires that came with the car when it was new are now almost completely worn, and I plan to replace them with new ones soon. Due to the vehicle's weight, I feel that the tires wear out quickly, which I consider one of the drawbacks of this car.

I am satisfied with the driving experience, ride comfort, and the quality of the driver assistance systems.

However, my vehicle's automatic parking, parking memory function, and remote parking (a paid feature that allows you to park or retrieve your car in tight spaces using a smartphone) do not work properly. Regarding this issue, the authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer has refused support, citing "unknown causes." Additionally, I find that the navigation computer system called MBUX is not well-designed.

In the past, I have owned MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER PHEV and NISSAN LEAF vehicles.
Especially with MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER PHEV, I drove 170,000 kilometers without encountering any problems. Therefore, I am honestly exhausted by the frequent issues with Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

However, I feel that Mercedes' EV technology is not bad.

Yesterday because of my dumbaxx parking my neighbrough decided to "give me a peace of mind" and blocked driver door. I was looking remote parking function but seems like not available to me , maybe country regulation, auto parking works but only if there are few cars exist so i guess its using them as reference, if place empty I dont bother now:)

Hello Vahan,
Did you get the car or you are planning to? I was at the same boat as you, got an EQE 300 sedan, I can not compare with other cars since I am enjoying ignorance of new driver as its my first car but for experience I am really glad I have bought it, beside of party tricks I am looking for reasons to drive around , yet still its my first month. Only problem I got now weak 12V battery that car drops battery 1-2 % at cold overnight tbh I dont mind much, mid March I will be at service then I will ask for replacement, afaik its covered with warranty. You can check recalls online from MB site if you got VIN number

2500 km in 1 month so far, I got one face to face feedback from one eqe 350+ owner , rest is this forum and reddit but never asked how much km they have done, I could say you are doing better job than me:) You can check my post history but my question was for more about budget and models. There are more detailed posts exist here from users. If memory serves right, common dislikes were interior quality under wheel, car shape which is more for taste and mostly software issues.

i.e. reddit how_satisfied_are_eqe_drivers

But every car might get its own issues, I hope you get the one you like!

I’ve only had mine for 6 weeks but apart from being a bit too paranoid with the collision assist (my old C220 was similar, maybe not quite as bad), and sometimes beeping at me when nothing is there, I have no complaints.

It’s very comfortable and I like the tech. I have the AMG line. I’ve driven 13 EVs so far and it’s in the top 3 😎 maybe not as efficient as the Korean EVs but she’s pretty. Maybe that’s why she’s paranoid I’m going to spoil her good looks!
