It looks like the first vehicle to join the Mercedes-Benz EQ family is the Smart EQ Fortwo/Forfour. It's rumoured to be hitting the U.S market later this year and there will be a special Nightsky Edition on display at Geneva. Pricing should be announced closer to its launch in mid 2018. It's rumored to be launching with optimized charging technology as well as a new app that focuses on electric mobility.

I like this move they are making because being a brand like this they need more than just a green car but a green car that has some special visual appeal to it.

Lol I'm inclined to agree, don't think this comes as much of a surprise to anyone. At least this new EQ version of the Smart car comes with some improved styling. Not that theres anything that could be done to it that would make me buy one aha.
