i might be remembering this wrong, but when i picked up mg EQS, i think the salesman said that i could charge the car for free at any mercedes dealership in america. is that accurate? i’ve brought the car to the dealership i bought it from to charge a couple of times, but i’ve since moved across the country and am wondering if i can bring it to one of the local ones over here

The MB dealerships in my area have ChargePoint EVSEs installed. You should be able to start a charge with the RFID card that came with the car. Plug and Charge may also work. I doubt if you will get a free charge at the MB dealer after the two year free charge program bundles with the car purchase expires.

i would bring my car up to get charged and also take advantage of the free parking whenever i had to be in the area.

This statement needs clarification for UK users. You do NOT get free charging. You get 1 year's free access to the IONITY charging network. You still have to pay for the amount of electricity you take from the charge point.

Hi Peter, Sorry for the confusion. I thought I was posting on the EQS forum. In the first year of ownership free charging at Ionity is EQS only

I seem to recall that when I charged at my MB dealer at their Chargepoint level 3 charger it seemed to generate a charge to my account. I might have tried before the plug and charge was implemented for my car. Maybe I should try again.
