G'day. The sensors seem tuned for extra sensitivity at very low speeds and maybe get confused when the bonnet raises after acceleration and suddenly there is something nearby that has changed distance. The road! So yours might be angled down a touch too much, as a guess. Or a leaf or something is on the front of a sensor (the circles on bumpers ) and moves when car sets off. Dealer might discover something else.

Something similar happens me at one road corner where there is a drainage cover and raised pavement and inclination change. Maybe I will one day find out which is the reason.

Be interesting to know if you get resolved. Try pressing button to disable parking sensor, on the centre console, to see if that works as a temporary solution

Has anyone had the front sensors going off every time you drive off after stopping at traffic lights?
I don't have an EQA, but a GLA on which it is based. I have occasional issues with the front sensors and it is normally caused by 2 issues.
1) Rain, if rain drains to the sensor it can trigger it.
2) Dirt, if a sensor is dirty then this can trigger it. I once found a leaf that was stuck to the paint but flapped in front of the sensor, another time it was a spiders web.

I found the culprit - the number plate protector which was protruding about 5 mm and was obviously in the arc of the sensor.
Ah ha, I forgotten about that. I thought that was unique to here in NZ where I had a larger Euro type plate fitted and it partially blocked the sensor.
