Hi there, is there a way to open and close garage doors via homelink or another app? It's baffling why Mercedes did not make this a standard and easy feature to use. Of course buyers want to be able to open their garages through the vehicles system. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.

This dealer lists Homelink as a feature in this EQS; possibly the sedan but I would guess SUV would have same at least as option though maybe no!

You can likely use Apple Carplay, available for EQS SUV, instead if you are able connect this equipment to Homelink:

Interesting thanks for posting that info! I have not found the HomeLink app anywhere in the software of My EQS 580 SUV nor has Mercedes been able to pull it up via voice command. Hopefully it's just a software thing they will update or I'm just missing something.

I have an update. Check if you are missing buttons overhead as that is where Homelink is programmed. Homelink instructions are listed in the EQS SUV owner's manual index under "Garage Door Opener".

Okay it worked and the button is programed and I can now open and close my garage in the vehicle. All i need to do was to press and hold the button down hold my remote controlled garage opener within and inch or two and hold down the button on that. First it slow flashed yellow then quick flashed green when completed. Thanks so much for your help Dar it's greatly appreciated!

HUH???? Of course there is. There are 3 homeland buttons under the mirror! Like on ALL cars, except Tesla MS, which does it automatically via GPS.

Thanks for that. Obviously I didn't see the buttons on the mirror and it was not in the software as with my Taycan. The buttons on the EQS mirror are not easily visible. Also I'm not really sure how your comment helps the discussion, but at least the breakdown is here in case someone else runs into the issue. Oh and thanks for the caps thats real cute bud...LOL

Nah I didn’t need too LOL. What kind of person wanders into a thread to try and insult people. Your kind, I guess. Quite frankly, you’re the kind of person that gives Mercedes owners a bad name. Hope you go back to Tesla. Have a good one bud.

Good lord. Such a thin skin. I didn’t “wander into the thread”. I received it by email. As too “I’m not sure how your comment helps the discussion”, my comment ANSWERED YOUR QUESTION BY TELLING YOU WERE THE BUTTONS ARE.” That’s all!

At first, because three homelink buttons have been in every single car built for the last 30 years, I was sure I misunderstood the question, as I couldn’t believe someone would be so thick as to imagine that a $100k+ Mercedes wouldn’t have Homelink and would be so witless as to not even look in the owners manual or ASK HIS DEALER. How embarrassing for you!

Challenge: find a dumber question anywhere on this website.

As the Brits say: “as thick as two thick planks.”

Ahh, that type of person you indeed are lol. The question was answered already before you wandered in. Much like a child who wanders into a movie half way through and wonders why... By the way you are incorrect ALL (lol) cars don't have the buttons on the mirrors as Taycans do not as you use homelink through the software which also pulls up via GPS. I know you are probably the type of tool that always needs the last word as I know your type very well. As the Brits say lol...lol. Thanks for that real cute and hilarious. Yikes I feel sorry for anyone that needs to be around you for extended periods of time...😬 Ripping you has made me laugh pretty hard so thanks for that. You've been set to ignore see you never ass...
