Progressive should have it because we were the first ones to add the EQE SUV to a policy so they manually entered the type into their system.
Thank you. I think I will call them, too.Progressive should have it because we were the first ones to add the EQE SUV to a policy so they manually entered the type into their system.
Flo (had to google it), gecko, emu, JK Simmons.... can hardly make someone switch unless they also offer a better price. And, surprisingly, their prices differ a lot from each other. Every year or two I switch based on that. This time, adding EQE to Geico would be $400 more for 6 months than a brand new policy with Progressive. Others were much worse than even Geico. Not sure why big insurance companies are so much into idiotic advertising, yet so uninterested in keeping their existing customers. I have similar experience with Internet providers - they refuse to match a competitor's offer when the discount period is up, only to offer it several months later. Those of you with Progressive are far more tolerant than am I. After having to suffer through all these years of the "Flo" idiocy on TV, I cannot imagine sending them a nickel as reinforcement of their marketing, no matter how inexpensive their insurance (same with Liberty Mutual). If you're not interested in the "Mercedes" of insurance for their pricing...Chubb...my agent advised me years ago (correctly, as it turned out) to switch to Cincinnati Financial for excellent service at friendlier prices. And, thankfully, they don't advertise on TV.
Gosh, I haven't competitively quoted insurance for years...since our agent provided the Chubb vs. CinFin analysis. CinFin has had our houses, cars, boat (when we had that) and when we needed them for a major house loss and an odd car loss, the responses were fast and perfect. That got my loyalty.Flo (had to google it), gecko, emu, JK Simmons.... can hardly make someone switch unless they also offer a better price. Insurance companies are getting a lot slimier these days. They will use any un-dotted "I" or un-crossed "T" to get out of paying a claim. If I were you, I would not stand for my insurance document showing the WRONG model car, no matter how close it may be to your car. You should make them fix it if they want to retain your business! After the start of the lease, I wanted to add my new EQE 350+ SUV to my Geico insurance, then I tried a few others to compare and ended up with Progressive. However, in ALL quotes there was a problem - no insurance recognizes the VIN, and trying to enter it by make or model doesn't even have EQE on the list, only offers "EQE Sedan", or just "EQE" or, in the best case, "EQE350". My final insurance now says "EQE 350 4D Sedan" even though I selected "EQE350". There is a proper VIN entered, so I am hoping it will be OK. Did anyone successfully have the SUV variant added to their insurance? I thought I'd better ask before I call Progressive, I don't want them to drop me for what seems like a technicality, and they gave the lowest quote for 100/300/50 by far.
