Evening everyone. I’ve taken delivery of my new EQC today. I went for a drive out in it and parked in a multi story car park with BP pulse charging points. Set the ap up plugged it in and said it was charging. Checked the Mercedes’ me app and yea it’s charging. About 15 minutes into it charging it said on the Mercedes’ me app interrupted charging and when I got back to the car it hadn’t charged any. I thought maybe I’ve done something wrong,….although I did wonder it couldn’t be that hard to plug a cable in, but I put it down to my user error being my first time having an electric vehicle.
went to tesco on the way home plugged it in to charge green light came on saying charging thought I was onto a winner but again 10/15 mins into the charge I checked the app and it was interrupted again.
got home plugged it in to the charging point at home and it’s not charging at all said on the app not charging. Took the cable out plugged it back in and now it’s charging. But I’m so paranoid I have to keep checking it every five mins.
I have a long journey to go on tomorrow and will need to charge while I’m out and now I’m worried I’m going to get stuck.
does anyone have any advise at all please. I spoke to the dealership and they said I need to book it in.

Personally I would follow direction of dealership. I never experienced anything like that before. Dealer will hopefully lend you car. Let us know how you get on

One alternative would be to try again at a fast charger this evening in preparation and see if problem still happens, and to make sure plug goes in all the way and without strain on the cable, then turn back home if can't charge. I would at least ask Mercedes Me button in car for advice before doing that alternative though.

Also check you have notifications enabled in Mercedes Me app settings. You likely do, but just something to be aware of.

All the best to you

Our local Tesco is Podpoint . When you plug it in it starts charging but you have 15 minutes to confirm the charge on the Podpoint app otherwise it stops. It is free but unless you confirm the charge through the Podpoint app it will not continue.
The other thing to do is to check that you have set the 'Maximum State of Charge' to the level you want. From 50% top 100%. This is done either in the car or on the Mercedes Me app.

Good luck

Thank you that makes complete sense now. I’ll try that. Thank you.

Charged fine in a rapid charge just got back. Hoping the others were because I didn’t confirm the charge in the relevant apps as Clint D has commented. Thanks for the advice.
