When I push the red button to close the rear latch it closes but it don't lock. Instead it opens up about 10" and stops. I can push it in but it still won't lock. Same thing when using the key.

Any ideas?

Sounds obvious but assuming there isn’t something blocking it/ catching it as this sounds very much like the kind of behaviour you get when there is.
