Does anyone have any experience charging at home using a charging adaptor with a Tesla home level 2 charger? We have a Tesla home charger currently and are awaiting our Chargepoint flex to be installed. Our neighbor has an adaptor that he charges his non Tesla 1772 equipped ev off his Tesla home charger.

Simply put, go with TESLA Tap adapter!

I have been using a TeslaTap adapter with my Gen1 Tesla HPWC since last April with no issues. I also purchased a second TeslaTap which I am using with my Gen1 Tesla Mobile Charger. I was dismissive of the Level 1 charge cord provided by Mercedes and I had invested in multiple adapters for my Tesla Mobile Charger which made it a very flexible tool for charging on the go. No issues at all.

Thanks, I bought the adapter my neighbor had from Amazon - Lectron max 48 amp J1772 adaptor and it works fine with the Tesla level home charger, Charging at 9.6kW 35% to 80% will take 3.5 hrs. Amazon.com

Tesla level 2 home charger is what the adaptor is plugged into. I am still going to have the ChargePoint Flex+ level 2 charger installed as soon as my electrician can do it.
