Hi All, hoping someone can help out? New EQS owner here and 1st time user of this MBUX system, still trying to learn everything about the MBUX, having come from an Ipace, which was so much more primitive (and easy to use given it had so little functionality :)).
I've viewed a few video tutorials, including some good ones from Nick O'Leary on the MBUX. I thought I'd configure my driver display to start with. I can choose the theme; discreet, sporty, classic, nav etc, but I can't work out how to configure the theme further. I want to change the right side dial (Power display?). It's pretty pointless for me, I'd rather have some other more useful info displayed on that side if possible. On other MBUX cars in the various video demo's it looks as these are all configurable and different info can be displayed? All my swiping up/down/left/right on the steering wheel gesture pad doesn't seem to get to another level of configuration. Is our EQS driver display locked into only these basic themes?
Any help and guidance appreciated,
Thanks,
Graham

I can't speak for your EQS, but the way you do it in most Mercs is with the RH thumb pad (since you're in a RHD country). Move it left and right and it should highlight different parts of the driver's display. Move it to the right until the Power meter is highlighted, then move it up and down to see all the different things you can display in that position. When you find the one you want, press on the thumb pad to lock your selection in.

Unlike other MB cars I've owned (like my wife's car, a 2020 E450 convertible), the EQS driver display can be changed in its entirety, but the left and right sides of the display are not switchable. The center screen can be changed with the left touchpad. I assume that this can be changed one day with an online software update.
