Mercedes EQE...Home Charging failing.

The EQA does not have the facility to schedule the charging
What about through the Mercedes Me app? I have an EQB and I just set the program in the app, do nothing in the charging app (ChargePoint), and it works every time. Sometimes the ChargePoint app won't recognize the charger and even though I'm plugged in it won't indicate that it's ready to charge at 11p, but even in this case it still starts charging as expected. I presume this is because the charger itself is just a passive recipient of the commands from the car (via the app).

The car will communicate directly with the charger via the cable, no app required. The connector has a number of data lines as well as the power connections. You can control everything from the console in the car, you do not need the app at all.
Right, but the OP was saying that this wasn't working for him so I was suggesting a workaround.

Personally, I like using the app as I can update it from anywhere and not just when I'm in sitting the car, but unlike the OP it does work as expected when in the vehicle as well.

True, but the charging program is set through the MBUX app and not through the console of the car--I don't know of a way to program a week's worth of charge times directly into the car's UI. The car must "know" because it starts charging at the programmed time even when the charger is not connected to our local network, but I don't know of another way to set the program in the first place without using either the MBUX app or the ChargePoint app.
