Hi

So i was today old, that I found out Mercedes Me just launched a new app called Eco Coach. It can basically make your electric driving into an achievement game and you can compete with the average Mercedes electric car fleet And it seems you can win prizes even though they doesn’t look like you get an individual interest, but instead you can add you points to some kind sustainably projects which Mercedes have already chosen.

how many of you have this available in the app or play -store?

Seems to be available in some countries such as Germany, France, recently UK seem to be confirmed. Surprisingly not in Ireland at the moment (Android attached).

Here is some advice -

I have enjoyed the car's luxury and performance so haven't been the most efficient so far, but the car apparently has it's own mini "apps" in some countries, like "ECO display" menu lights up bars depending how efficient you drive and has a "Bonus from start" kilometers-saved number.

And if you select a destination in Mercedes navigation, plus you are in D-Auto "gear" and choose "ECO Assist" menu, it prompts you when to lift accelerator (probably earlier than you might otherwise). And if you select "Eco" dynamic mode instead of "Comfort" then you might find acceleration slower unless you really floor throttle.

For extreme efficiency, you would need keep to a low steady speed like under 40kph but keeping to this road speed may not be legal or considerate on most roads so I wouldn't take it that far! And you would need avoid using ac and (possibly) keep climate control at setting 1 fan speed to avoid window and mind fogging up too much and (possibly) set to a low temperature! You would still need use ac (maybe) once weekly to keep it functioning well! And ideally you would travel when around 22c celsius temperature outside and maybe high above sea level for reduced wind resistance and probably use narrow 19" tyres etc

As dar says it is available in France and I am an avid user. Since getting my car mid Sept I have acquired 126,525 points plus another 29,000 points already redeemed for a 5euro voucher to use on Mercedes’ me charge. As yet I have not used public charges but I am going on a trip tomorrow for a few days when I will so I will report back on if how the voucher was redeemed.
My big takeaway using the app is how much they want you to restrict the level of charge of the battery with suggestions you only use fast charging if necessary and keep the battery 80% or below most of the time. As a result I tend to keep mine at 50% in general and plug in when at home to top up and it works a treat. it has some good data re efficiency, how many kwh you have used over 5 days, 5 weeks and 5 months And how your efficiency compares to the group. I would strongly recommend the app to anyone who can download it.

Any able to advise how to redeem the Ionity vouchers you can accumulate via the points system? I’ve got the MercMe Charge app and account (and have been using the card and getting billed) but can’t see where to redeem the codes generated by the vouchers.
I’ve recently done a round trip to Cornwall and used the Ionity chargers @ Chippenham and Cullompton so want to redeem them against the bill for Aug.

Thanks for that FDR, still struggling though. Thought it might be different on the website rather than the app, but I can’t see anything about ‘contract’ on either. The iOS app has a section for ‘Transactions’ which shows the Ionity / MercedesMe charges but nothing to redeem the vouchers against.
Might try MBUK as I thought I got 1 year free with Ionity anyway…… was only trying to redeem as it looks like I’m going to be billed.
Strangely I’ve only been charged for one of the Ionity locations and not the other, one transaction is stated at £0.00 for 32.9kwh (Cullompton Services) but the other two total £20 odd for 1 x 46.8kwh and 1 x 36kwh.

I redeemed mine through the IOS app tap the Shopping bag icon at bottom right of Eco coach home page you see a list of available and redeemed points tap the one available for charging then Further information, that takes you to the web portal.

Cheers, muddled through in the end and have redeemed them.
I don’t think any of the MM apps are particularly intuitive as a whole ecosystem of Merc user interfaces. I eventually saw the link in the Eco Coach app, but I had been assuming it was redeemed through the Mercedes Me app which has some of my billing info on it.
So there’s basically 3 UI’s - Mercedes Me, Eco Coach, and the MercedeMe Charge web app, all with some overlapping info…… you would think they would have 1 team developing a single UI that does everything from one place…..
