Has anyone experienced issues with Mercedes Me and their vehicle status? Since last night the app has been reporting the car ignition being on, the vehicle as unlocked and it does not recognise the correct SoC or that the car is even charging. Obviously the issue is all of these reports / statuses are incorrect.
I found another forum post from a few years back saying the app is useless and needs to be deleted and reinstalled but just wondering if anyone with and EQ has experianced similar problems more recently?

Not had any problems particuarly in 7yrs of use, since my 2015 c class, but if it is giving wrong info first thing I would do is unlock the car open the door and then relock, if it is still wrong delete the app and reload, if still wrong contact the garage.
Very occasionally it cannot access the status either due to netowrk issues my end or something mercedes end but they usually do not last long. Overall quite happy with it.

Thanks, I’ve tried locking / unlocking and even took it for a spin round the block and it didn’t change. Has worked perfectly until yesterday evening.
Also deleted the app, cleared iPhone cashe etc and re-installed but it’s pulled the same data through.
It doesn’t seem to be updating from the car as it’s last update was 22 hours ago.
Think I’ll leave it a few days before booking it in if it’s not returned to normal.
Weirdly the eco app seems to be sending updates as I changed the max SoC to 80%, and that has been applied to the vehicle (per the MBUX) but both apps still report the previous max 100% for charging so it does a appear to be the comms from the car rather than the app.

Might be a good idea to give it another 24hrs in case there is some internal issue with mercedes as the car is still clearly able to talk to base given the eco app works to a point. Just checked mine and it is working but that probably means very little as I am in France. Another thought when you ring try ringing mercedes from the car (not the SOS button though!) they maybe able to help if they can make contact with the car, for my 2015 c class it was how the car was connected to the system. Might have been done for show as it was all so new then but nevertheless it might work. I do think we need a call centre system for such faults your local service centre are not quite full of phone/computer experts😆 Let us know how it goes.

Goodday Bedfordblue. I have been quite happy too like Parkwood. You could also try the app on Android (like Samsung phone) and/or with a different internet provider (like a different wifi) to see if any different. If the same problem then possibly some car outgoing communication equipment is not working perfectly if nobody else is having same issue in UK. Be interesting to know. This morning I got a message in the app asking to check my internet connection when trying to change pre-heat temperature. Perhaps it could be a server issue like from hacker attempts which affected some users in different ways through quality of service problems, though not security problems. It seems more responsive this evening so possibly unrelated to your problem. When this happens I usually switch on a different internet connection like 4g instead of wifi and restart app (which worked.)

iphone 13 pro with latest ios working fine with Mercedes Me App. reboot. works a charm with the Hypervolt 2.0 EV charger both around 30 feet away in the D garage. EQA Pem Plus could be on different merc software.

Today the same happened to me. And as it is used for an EQC, one uses this app just a little more than others maybe.

App still opens, but with a completely different look (almost no functionality), no battery information, nor milage. No icons anymore for pre heat, nor open/close the car, or change the end SoC.

Deleted the app, reinstalled it.. but without success.

Anoying to say the least !


edit** : working again. Must be some backend sync glitches.

Raised help ticket via the app this afternoon, not had any sort of response but the car and app resync’d approx 1 hour ago. Car has sat the drive all day, only other interaction was to unplug it from the granny charger (that I’ve used since mid Dec) approx 2 hours ago.
So not sure if anyone has done anything off the back of my help ticket (unlikely), if unplugging it forced a resync (also unlikely as I unplugged it yesterday, drove it and it didn’t re sync) or if there has been a limited issue on the back end that has been resolved (most likely imho)
Anyho all working again now…..
Edit just realised the circuit the charger was on has tripped too, not idea if related :unsure:

Had exactly same issues the last three days. "Vehicle Search" showed the car being over 100km away - I though it had been stolen. Then I noticed it said "Updated from vehicle 19 days ago". Also charge status showed 71% charge and I know I had just charged it to 95%. I spoke with Merc dealer - they told me "It happens to me all the time; something wrong with the App". I'm happy to know it's the App not the Car, but nevertheless ....

Fear not I have been using the app since 2015 it has the odd glitch but they do not normally last long in general it is relaiable. I do wonder of it is the LTE carrier signal which may be the issue but looking at the comments further up the thread it is probably server or internal data centre issues with mercedes. I am happy with it and use it all the time have to say.

I have a 2020 EQC and my Mercedes Me app hasn't updated since last Monday 9th May - over 5 days now. In that time I have used the car every day and did a charge today to no avail. Installed the app on a separate iOS device with the same results. Have followed Bedfordblue's lead and just pinged a support message through the app

Mine just started with the ignition on thing. Car is defiantly off, but I still get the ON error. I called the local MB service dept and they were no help.

Many of these errors I have put down to communications problems between the mobile phone being used with me using the house wi-fi. I have had various errors (let's call them anomalies) where the app says the car is unlocked when it is not. In my experience, I have also found whilst using my House Wi-fi things like the state of charge are incorrectly reported.
For some weeks the app said that it had not synchronized and for a while, it kept saying that all modules (forgot the wording) were not installed when they were. Since then I have reinstalled it several times and all is now working fine. The reinstallation of the app is quite simple and once reinstalled, it asks for a code that will be sent to your phone/email address.

Hi Came across this thread after experiencing a frustrating time with the app. Some functions work, some don't! e.g. can open the windows and sunroof remotely OK. But the charge status shown is from 4 days ago. The vehicle location is from 2 days ago?! Have tried all the usual - update / re-install etc. but to no avail. Reading this now - I guess it is simply flaky - and I'll need to wait and see! As others have said - luckily it's the app and not the car - but it doesn't inspire confidence in the software - I hope the same engineers are not designing the driver assist features!!
