Mercedes will be showing off a brand new all electric people carrier at this years Geneva Motor Show. It is rumored to come to dealerships by 2021 and will join upcoming models like the eVito and eSprinter which are set to arrive in the second half of this year.

I was expecting more from design after seeing the EQ concept that made it obvious as to whats under the hood, is subtle really the way to go?

The new interior design is really the focal point here. I wasn't expecting them to do much with the facelift for a people hauler. I'm sure the electric model will get its own unique aesthetic changes, namely the grille.

nice cabin but I think it could use some Maybach inspiration that doesn't necessarily have to come with a similar price tag, different finishes alone can really improve it.

Its already got the captain chairs with work desks, though I don't know if they are heated/ventilated. I think this is a great compromise for the money and look forward to seeing the electric model.

Don't look at any of the other more personalized approaches to owning an electric Mercedes because the interiors on them have a lot going on.
Typically these more commercial approaches are severely toned down and have little need for being fancy.

Has there been any mention of the electric powertrain that the EQV will use? I've have heard it might use the same platform as the V-Class and we could be seeing a battery pack up to 100kWh in size, which is identical to what you get in the P100D. Should mean a great electric range.

Most reports i've read confirm a 100 kWh pack which is right on par with other options set to come out.
Nissan should be coming out with electric options for its commercial fleet and confirming what's the "norm". Aside from that I know 100-150 kwh is the peak.

So here's our first look at the official concept. It seems to have adopted Mercs new MBUX system and a cool two tone color scheme on the interior. MB claims 249 miles of range and can charge to 62% in just 15 minutes on a rapid charger.
