Hi everyone,

I've ordered an EQA end of September that was in stock with a delivery date of 08/10. I received a message from the dealership informing me that the car is on a batch of other cars missing a chip that controls the central closing of doors and electric windows.
I've been shopping around at other dealerships, and it seems like they got cars with the same spec in the system, multiple ones ( I've counted 3). They are available from now to December.
I don't know how their system is working, but how can one dealership have a car on hold when others get so soon?
One of the dealerships informed me that a car is actually at the port (Purfleet, I guess) and available end of October?

Is anyone in my case?

P.S: I got a car with a good deal on PCP that other dealerships can't match. That's the reason why I am here waiting for a car. I don't know when it's going to be delivered... it's frustrating.

Welcome to the forum @Bibizr! I'm not exactly sure how this works but some dealers do get priority over others in terms of their sales numbers, location, etc. How did you spec your EQA?

Thank you :). I just got a Mountain Grey Metallic AMG Line. The thing that I find weird is that the car was in stock when we sign the contract. It was supposed to be here in 7 or 10 days. I suspect that the car was not in stock at all because one of the dealerships I contacted told me there is one on the way to them but they can't match my PCP deal ( the delivery date on that car is the 28th) and another one told me there is one for November delivery and the last one for December.
I can get my head around why my dealership can't get my car sooner.

As I understand matters each car may be subject to its own individual problem depending when it passed through the line. Many many cars of all models are being held up at Bremen inc cars built at the Sindelfingen plant and transferred to Bremen pending receipt of the missing part. Some cars are released to the customer with the intention of them being upgraded as and when. I am awaiting the navigation augmented reality to be operative for example. So in your case the car being pulled from stock to your dealer may have been on hold with an expected date for the missing part why your dealer was unaware I do not know, misreading or misunderstanding of the inventory or saying they could deliver what they could not who knows. But it can be very individual my EQC was only 6 weeks late and only missing the others have had to endure much longer waits and seen more items pulled from the build.

Thank you for all the information. I'm just frustrated as my husband is buying a new sports car and part exchanging the vehicle that we are currently sharing. I won't be confident enough to drive the car he chose, and I need to be on school runs duty, so it makes everything more complicated. If I knew they would not be able to deliver on time, I would pick another option. However, at that time, the APR was 4.4% now; it's between 5.9 to 6.9, so Mercedes Benz Finance will not allow other dealerships to match my deal.

I went to look into the Audi Q4 e-Tron 🥴 (6.9% APR) and the car doesn't even have the same features as the EQA for an equivalent price.

Best thing to do now is to wait I guess...

Yes real life is complicated and when the plans do not match it can cause so much hassle. If the EQA is as nice as my EQC you will be happy and all the hassle will be forgotten😉For what it is worth I have had Audi’s in the past and hilst I think the build quality and interior quality gives mercedes a run for its money the mechanics do not it is just a well built body on VW underpinings and that shows up as the cars age I read a report which looked at major compnenet failure like water pumps and the mercedes in general lasted longer before needing major works, just to make you feel better😉

Hi All,
I've just bought a new EQA (jumped from loved GLC). It's a 350 4 Matic AMG Line Patagonia Red. Ordered early Sept, delivered 20/10. I even managed to jump in and order Deployable Tow Bar. Happy with so far, a few niggles though. a) Throttle Pedal angle, could use a longer foot plate. b) Parcel shelf not retractable. c) Not much stowage space. d) Could do with a binnacle to stop glare and make displays easier to see... Early days yet. Great to drive and can pick it's feet up if need be.

Just can't wait for it. They said now that I might get a car from the new November batch with delivery for the end of the month. I am so desperate now but hopefully, it will be worth it! It's my first car ever ( I drove my husband's car for years now) that's why I think I'm being impatient!
Will keep you updated:)

You did well to get one that quick. I ordered a 250 AMG in polar white 3 weeks ago and have been given a delivery date of 30th May!!
