I have this coating on my EQS and before on my EQA.

After one year (EQA) it was still in good condition. I only wash my cars by hand. Either at home or in a clean park.
In Germany these products are only sold to professional users (health risks). There are also a lot of semi professional products on the market, that could be used by end users. But they will usually only last several months and could be applied either on dry or wet surface.

If you are thinking of applying a ceramic coating, then do it just after the car arrives from the factory/dealer.

Just took delivery of our EQA yesterday and I've put a coating of GTechniq Crystal Serum Light (CSL) ceramic coating on it already. Hoping it will keep the paint in good condition, protect against most road grime and bird mess etc. The kit I bought also has the GTechniq EXOv4, but still to apply that - perhaps this weekend if I can find the time. As the car was brand new and just delivered (9 miles on the clock), I at least knew the paint was in the best condition that I'd ever see it in, but I still used GTechniq Panel Wipe to remove any road grime from the delivery transport from being on a trailer or polish residue that the lease company may have applied. Looks great and the CSL is really easy to apply provided you only do a small panel or partial panel at a time before buffing with a microfibre. Also applied GTechniq C5 on the alloys and have some G4 to apply to the glass at some point.

Just for clarity, I have no connection to GTechniq or any other company selling car detailing products, just plenty of experience and a shed-full or various car detailing products that have cost me a fortune over the years!

No idea whether their products are available in either the States or Germany, but I do rate them highly.
