We traded-in our 2020 GLE350 for this EQE 350+. I haven't driven it, yet, as it's my wife's car and we just picked it up. It's Selenite Gray with the Maybach wheels and Neva Gray/Sable Brown MB Tex. I actually like the MB Tex - it's very supple feeling. Let me know if anyone has specific questions or wants me to look at something.

Interesting that the brochure is clearly for the UK market, but that the photos show the steering wheel on the left.
All manufacturers do it and has been the norm for years.
Any clarification re whether or not the rear seats can be occupied in the "more upright" position?
The EQE SUV 350+ 4MATIC, blue with grey interior. My wife and I currently own a 2022 Ioniq 5 and 2022 Tesla Model Y Performance and want to downsize to one vehicle because we both work from home. We're in our early 60's and think we deserve some luxury. Our test drives of the EQE SUV were incredible, comfortable and fun.

How's the EQE SUV compared to the Ioniq or MY in terms of ride height, hwy quietness and ride comfort? I think the Ioniq is a pretty nice hwy cruiser and was wondering if the EQE Suv is worth the premium.

Your question is difficult to answer directly and the value equation is purely subjective. What constitutes a noticeable difference and what it may be worth varies widely among people. Further, we don't have decibel readings nor ride impact measurements for a quantitative comparison. However, it's reasonable to infer that given the brand positioning, historic dynamic objectives, and cost put into the vehicle, this becomes a comparison of extremely different segments. Drive a Sonata vs a C Class to feel the magnitude of difference both teams targeted for their ICE vehicles. Although we are now in the BEV catagory, the degree of difference reflects their brand positioning and price points. That's about the best guess at this moment in time before you go directly from a Hyundai to an MB dealer to experience both vehicles.

I have never looked at the Ioniq or MY so I can't give an objective answer. The closest I have driven is a Model 3 that we rented for a few days in Colorado last month. If the MY suspension/ride is close to the M3 or even a fair amount better, it's still not as smooth as the EQE SUV. I was surprised at the bouncy/stiff ride of the M3. Our EQE doesn't have our suspension but it's a nice ride. I imagine the fit/finish will be considerably better than the MY or slightly better at an absolute minimum. I'd also guess the finish of the EQE will be superior to the Ioniq simply because it's a different price point and target audience... just like there is a noticeable difference between an E Class MB and an Honda or even an S Class compared to the E Class. There's even a noticeable difference between an E and a C.

I'll add to my previous thoughts...

We're coming to the EQE from a GLE and E300... the ride in the M3 was so bad that both my wife and my 14 YO car buff daughter thought something was broken on the car. The EQE is a world apart from that.

The ride for Model Y is even worse than Model 3, imagine that.
The rear passenger seat of Model Y has got to be the most uncomfortable car I have sat in.
The newer Model Y is supposed to have a "comfort suspension", but it is not much better unfortunately. You will not see any many discussions about lowering the tire pressure, putting in 3rd party suspension etc for ride comfort in any other cars.

Congrats! I almost bought that same car! I really like that color combo but in the end my boys begged me to get this one :) I am coming from a Tesla Model Y and this car is better in all aspects. Did you find the 12v socket? it underneath the dash on the passengers side.

That’s a great color! I’ll have to look for the socket.

Really sharp looking, LA EQE!
Of course, since you acquiesced to your boys' wishes, I'm sure they will volunteer to dust it for you every day ;-)

How do you like that magnolia wood trim on the dash? I am considering an EQE SUV that has that trim but worried those little MB star patterns may become annoying over time. Have they bothered you after having the car for a while?

I like the wood and the MB stars. I honestly don't really even notice them when driving... but I don't drive it that much. Not sure how they'd get annoying unless you're just thinking it could be a visual distraction.

Your dash is my favorite. It’s stunning and was my first choice. Here is mine. Not bad.

@Boerboel test drove an EQE sedan last week in preparation for ordering an SUV there being no SUV available to me for a test drive at this time. Can you clarify do the front windows drop marginally on opening the car doors? On the sedan the windows are frameless and they fit snugly into the rubber window surround but to open or close the glass has to be dropped and then slides up when the door is closed to fit under the rubber seal. I assume the SUV is the same but it is not always wise to assume!

Fortunately the door windows are with-frame on the EQE SUV!

As ScottC pointed out, the SUV has a full frame door so the windows do not open/close.
Thanks for the replies useful info think I prefer that set up😉

Saw one with exact same color but with AMG line and running board on a dealership lot. However, the chrome trim at the bottom of the door are missing. Is it not available if opted for the running board or can you have both? Is that an optional extra that can be added? I really like it. It looks like they are attached by 3M tape only as i dont see any visable slot for it to attach to. Can anyone confirm?
