Hi!

i am just trying to connect my mercedes EQB through an ELM327 OBD to check the battery health. I think it would be interesting to check this out from time to time.

i tried with an iPhone and that ELM327 , the app is Car Scanner (that worked for my old alfa romeo) but it does not seem to work.

Has anyone been able to connect the Mercedes EQB through an OBD?

thanks in advance

You only suppose. You have not asked then?

No. Have you?
Why should I ? I am not remotely interested in doing it. You made the statement and I quote your words "I suppose they will not let me connect the car with not official tools".
So back to answer your original question. In my view, you should be asking them first before assuming they will not let you do it.

It would be a good idea to check the battery degradation . As far as i know it would be possible to check this out with an OBD software … as the car does not show any information about this thing in any menu.

As far as you know? Where is the source of the information?
Nothing about Mercedes on this youtube video. He just says most.

Thanks for this link. Very good. But, I question as to why you need to do this given that this is a new vehicle and it has an 8-year MB battery warranty. I would suggest that if you think you have a problem, on the next annual service ask for a health check. Perhaps you like to fiddle around?;)

No, i dont think i have a problem and i dont want just to fiddle. I would like just to check how the battery degradation is performing, just to know and curiosity about the most critical part of my EV. It is not just to fiddle , the purpose is clear: know how the battery degradation performs as it is the more expensive part of the car. Maybe others dont care about that and wait for 8 Years (or 160k km) to know what Mercedes diagnosis tells (without checking it by themselves) … i am one of those who has curiosity to learn and like to control how my batteries perform. I hope you understand now these reasons and i would ask you to keep this thread for comments related with OBD connection with EQB and not for my (or others) reasons for connecting the car with an OBD. Treat me like a special curious man… whatever you consider is ok… i have used obd connectors with all the cars i have had and this EV has more reasons for sure to be checked than other petrol cars …

It was just a question.

Yesterday I read a discussion on an EQA forum, that the OBD connectors of Mercedes EQ cars are encrypted/locked.
As far as I remember, you will not see a car scanner Björn Nylands videos about the EQE or EQS.
