Hello All,
Anyone know anything about the pre-entry climate control? For the first 3 months of ownership it worked fine, but the last couple of months whenever I try to adjust it from the app it refuses to communicate with the car (blames it on a poor network, but it will let me do other things)
It has also decided that there are now 5 zones I could control (if it would connect) - driver and passenger side for the front seats, and the 2nd row, and oddly enough a passenger in the 3rd row. It will let me change all of these, but won't transmit them to the car.
Without a shadow of a doubt a 'first world problem', but annoyng nevertheless.
I've uninstalled/ reinstalled the app which didn't do anything, and was looking in to how you reset the computer on the car (as in the tried and tested switch it off and on again) but couldn't really see anything in the manual.

My App is only showing 3 alternatives for zones, front passenger, driver or whole car and the same 3 for seats.
There is a “system reset” choice in the system settings menu, I don’t know what it does but sounds like what you’re looking for. (Page 259 in manual).

Yes, thanks - I'd seen that but thought it'd just reset all my profiles. I tried it last night, I was right.
I thought I would have a go with another phone too, That also came up with 5 zones and wouldn't send the updates to the car.

I would definitely suspect a fault with the app rather than the car as it presumably can’t send changes in climate control for 5 zones to the car if the car doesn’t have 5 zones e,g. there‘s obviously no 3rd row of seats in EQA. If you tap the “pizza box” icon in top left of the app does it show your EQA or a different car?

Yeah, it shows the correct car (not sure if the VIN number is correct, but the picture looks right)
I've raised it with Mercedes. Interestingly enough the first time I tried to send the message it complained of poor network connectivity.

Well, as promised, here's what mercedes said:
"The issue with the Pre-Entry Climate Control should be fixed with the latest app update.
Please be kind and delete then reinstall the app, that should solve the issue. In case not, please reply to this email.
I wish you a nice day!"

I reinstalled the app a fortnight ago when I got a new phone, so must have been a very recent app update. I did as he said though, and am glad to report it is fixed.
