I recall that earlier this year, at least one EQA owner mentioned on this Forum that the windscreen wipers on his EQA were noisy. If I recall correctly, the noise was generated by the wiper blades not moving smoothly over the glass.

I had a similar experience with the original wiper blades on my 2021 EQA250. However, recently I fitted a pair of Bosch Aerotwin wiper blades (model A207S) which, to date, operate smoothly and silently. A new set of genuine wiper blades might have produced a similar result, but I have previously fitted the Bosch wiper blades to my wife's B250 and we've been very happy with them in that application.

The only problem I've discovered with the Bosch A207S set when fitted to the EQA250 is that the shorter wiper blade is a little shorter than the original: 475 mm v about 500 mm (i.e. about 12 mm less outer edge sweep). In practical terms, we consider the difference to be immaterial.

My method to fix/improve the wiper blade's sweep over the windscreen so that it is smooth is to clean the windscreen rather than replace the wiper blades. Firstly with WD40 to remove any road grime. Then rinse with soap and water, because I doubt WD40 is good for the wipers or paint. Then Windex or general glass cleaner.

It's worth doing the full sweep of the windscreen, including the resting location of the wipers. And also the wiper rubbers themselves.

Interesting cleaning technique, TOUcharging.

I haven't disposed of my original wiper blades, so, having established that smooth, quiet windscreen wiping is possible (with my new Bosch blades), I might try cleaning the originals more thoroughly and try them again in due course. Maybe, next winter - although, given the recent - and predicted - weather, one wonders about our claim to be the driest state in the driest continent!

I’m also having problems with wiper blades - can anyone confirm that the Bosch A207S do definitely fit the EQA as can’t find a compatible set listed online and the myriad of fittings is a minefield

Great, thanks. Wasn’t questioning the performance of the Bosch as I know they’re good but more about the fitting being correct for the EQA? I see you’re in Oz so hope the fitting is the same on a U.K. 350 🤞

The main sticking point for me was removing the 'old' blades. I viewed several videos to ensure I was using the correct technique, as I didn't want to damage anything. I actually found that a UK video demonstration of a brand of wiper blade I'd never heard of explained - and showed - the required movements as well as any. Importantly, the attachment was the same as on my car. I would be surprised if there were any difference between a UK-sourced EQA and one sourced from Australia, especially as we're both right hand drive markets.
