My EQS 580 calculates a Range of approximately 430 miles at 100% charge.

The vehicle consistently gets 340 miles as advertised, so I am happy with the actual Range, but the fact that the Range estimate calculation is so high confuses the navigation charging destinations as well as provides an inaccurate distance at all times.

Calculating the range based on recent driving history should be an easy calculation.

i would rather have a lower conservative Range than a high unachievable number. My dealer says there is no way to reset.

My first EV was a 2018 Tesla Model 3. Initially, it would indicate an ambitious range and then the estimated SoC at destination would continue to drop to the point that I would be getting warnings to slow down to reach the destination. After a year a so, there must have been a software update. Estimated range became much more conservative and the expected arrival SoC would creep up as we drove.

The dealer may not be able to "reset" anything, but the issue should be fixable with a SW update. I am surprised that other forum members are not reporting the same disparity between predicted range and actual range. My EQS SUV, built in October 2022, seems to predict range fairly accurately. Although the initial range varies significantly between warm and cold weather conditions.

I started with a 450+ and now have a 580. There is no way this or any EV can give a definitive range because the actual range depends on driving style. You can easily get 400 miles range in this car if you 60 miles an hour with no elevation change. If you drive 80 the whole time it will be much different. I charge my car daily to 80%. The predicted range after doing so is different almost every time because every time the car makes a range estimate it bases it on your recent driving style. If you have been driving very very conservativly the estimate will be higher.

I have found that range calculations change with recent wh/mile usage. Are you not finding that to be the case? In very cold weather the range is significantly reduced. (I like to be warm in the winter and do not try to economize.)
