Seem like I need to pay over list to get an EQS580

I’ve heard the markup on the EQS580 is $50k or higher. I initially was going to purchase the 580 but the markup turned me off so I purchased the 450.

I got my EQS580 at the end of August. The dealer wanted 25k plus the full price of the car. I negotiated the ”market adjustment” down around to 9k. I absolutely love the car. I am not sure why but the car tells me I can get about 440 miles with a fully charged battery. Initially I recharged it at home with the included level one charger. It worked well but it took a long time to charge to 100%. If you drive just a few miles a day that may be all you need. I purchased the ChargePoint charger online for about 800.00 and had it installed in my garage for about 600.00 plus tax. It works great. Although I love the car there a few shortcomings. Mastering the huge display requires lots of time and patience. My previous car was a 2014 S550. I somehow assumed that would make it easier mastering the new car. The ESQ580 is a very different beast. After 3 weeks of daily driving I can say I am roughly familiar with 70% of the system. And I am one of those who actually read the owner’s manual. (I have a digital version in my iPhone.) I live in South Florida and my garage is hot this time of the year. I can go into the car without opening the front door and turn its AC on while studying the menu system.

I love mine. Be aware that insurance is very expensive for an EQS. And the braking can be better.
