Hi all
We’ve had our EQC for about 3 months now, loving it, however we’ve recently installed Solar PV and a battery system and are having real problems getting the car to charge during the day.
For reference our Mini EV is charging fine.
At night when there is no solar power and we set the house battery to not discharge we can get a good charge in the EQC but during the day we simply cannot get more than 2 minutes charge!
Plug the car in, it says ok, It’ll start charging, Our Solar PV monitor shows the draw but it’s all over the shop, like the EQC can’t make it’s mind up on the power it wants, if the Mini wasn’t working fine I’d say it was the PV and battery system.
We’ve tried changing the AMPs in the system but that seems to have no effect, the car seems to still draw 7KW, not sure whether that setting effects a wall socket (PodPoint) or just a normal 3 pin charger.
PodPoint initially said that there charger needed to be told it was plugged into a solar house, which they have now done, that’s stopped the PodPoint showing RED, it’s now just reverting to flashing green, like the car has a schedule set, which we all now the EQC does not have.
Has anybody had similar problems?
Thanks
