Probably an obvious question. But where does everybody store their charging cables?
I leave my granny charger at home because it is bulky and I will probably never use it.

But the main cable stays in the bag in the boot.
I did manage to squeeze it under the floor but it is very tight and makes the latch difficult to open.
The bag has a hook and Velcro on it.
But I can’t work out where they might attach, so it floats around in the boot.

I use the other Mercedes branded bag (rectangular) to store all my bits and bobs and that is strapped down but fed up of hearing the charge cable bag sliding around

I'm not sure why they didn't apply a bit of thought to create a storage locker under the bonnet: a frunk. There has been some discussion about that on this Forum, but I'm not aware of a workable under-bonnet solution having been devised.

I have heard of others carrying one cable and leaving it out of its bag in the small amount of spare space under the false boot floor.

Ahh yes. Never thought about putting it there without the bag.
I do wonder how/why they designed the bag the way it is though with a hook on the end of a strap and Velcro on the back.

Both mine just fly about the boot area when I've got nothing else in there. I leave the granny charger there too as I spend a lot of time 100+ kms away from home and I've had to use it on occasion. I did find this a bit weird to be honest. I remember a day when MB and even the unmentionable competition went so far as to put a little bracket on the inside of the petrol cover to put the cap in when re-filling - coz generally speaking they just thought of everything. Even a "dugout" in the boot panels would have been better IMHO

Generic, I suspect.

I've managed to Velcro the cable bag to the side of the boot plus used the tether on the cargo hook that's in there. This keeps the bag upright, holds it steady enough that I can remove the cable without moving the bag, but stops the bag coming out of the boot should there be any impatience!
