Evening all .... we have been looking and a tad bored of the driveway looking like the front door of the Intercontinental Park Lane or PWC senior partners car park.

So we've been trying roll the dice ... just a little.

We looked at the slightly out there satin grey finish. Very nice looking but even the dealership said "unless you like washing and polishing cars....." ..... i.e best to leave it. Bit of a shame but moving on ....

The lighter blue colour with the light grey interior showed a little more life.

But in the end we seem to have ended up in that see saw point with Technical Silver and light grey interior with the Walnut matted running board. And I am just about to talk myself into the outrange over spec'd Hyper Screen option.

Curious what colours call to you and why?

It's an artform in itself creating something elegant I always think. Interested in your approach

Graphite grey exterior appears to be the best seller - probably the most self-effacing color. To my eyes obsidian black is nice because the black mask/grille integrates nicest into it. Going by EQXX, skeuomorphic black grilles may look old-fashioned in a decade unless they maybe stay on as insect-hiders or something. I had black for a previous car and was not good at keeping it looking well so changed to tech-silver for EQC and I was surprised when I got the car that that the high-tech silver was actually very slightly blue. Not obvious from images. It makes the chrome look amazing to my eyes as the chrome does not have blue.

My brother's family prefers light interiors, though I have black interior and like how it looks clean and isn't distracting when driving and has the self-effacing thing too.

The interior seems designed with the hyperscreen in mind as there is just blank wood where the hyperscreen would be.

Yes graphite seems to be 'the new black' of the last 6 odd years. it's far from unpleasant but just a little samey. And for sure there's always a risk trying something just a little different.

Totally agree your comment about the tech silver, is exactly the same conclusion we came to when we saw it last weekend. Also I think that's the conclusion I'm coming to on the interior as well. It also helps play down the slighly over bearing accent lighting which although a nice concept is amp'ed up a little too high against the black in the test unit we tried. Against the light grey it has a more calming effect. That said, it seems lead times on the light grey are considerably longer than the black one .... so I'm told but waiting for that to be confirmed. Even today I hope as in theory, today is buy and sign day! Scary.

Wanted car looks very sporty, so went for Grey Magno Selenite.
When car arrived, color was simply astonishing, especially with Macchiato grey interiors.

That looks the business. Really does.

Bit frustrated as I also tried to order that colour option and two MB dealers both talked me out of it as they said that it was hard to keep clean. or rather I think they said that grease or oil from hands was a problem. The one said "unless you like cleaning cars don't do it".

I very much hope they are wrong and regardless of that, the paint looks really good to my eye. Considering now if I should amend. Thanks for the pics. Helpful stuff.

I have the same exterior color in order for my EQS350, can you share your experience with maintenance, car wash etc ...?

Love the color a lot, but a bit afraid that it will difficult to maintained versus "normal metallic colours". Is a had wash required or will carwash work out (without carwash wax/polish products)?

Love to hear your experiences!

EQS 580 Diamond white manufaktor exterior with neva grey/biscayne blue interior. Combo came out beautifully. Wasn’t sure when ordered.

I went with Obsidian Black. Full body PPF and a badge delete. It turned out spectacular! View attachment 1350
Have to say, that looks impressive. Was keen move away from black but in the sort of weather you have there, I can fully understand the appeal. Interesting how some colours just work in some lights and others don't.

Very nice. The one I road tested in January was in this colour. I steered away from it but studying that now .... I begin to wonder.

How come everyone else's car and colour choice always looks better than the one I've selected? Like when you order at a restaurant ... think you got it right and you see what someone else ordered :)

Thanks!

I had to go for what could be found and for sale in the showrooms. We have a bonus for ev here in Sweden of 70k that ends on the 8th of July.

I wanted to have a 450 with premium plus and this was what could be found.

Top on my list was a grey or pearl white. But the dark ones seemed to be most wanted for demo.

In a way I'm happy to not have to do all the selections.
