Mercedes-Benz is planning to invest around 1.5 billion euros in a production plant in China and the EQ models are expected to roll of that assembly line. Not sure if what they produce there will be sold locally only or if it'll be exported worldwide. Will this affect your decision to get an EQ?

Although it'll likely result in longer wait times for consumers, I think their decision to manufacture in China will help them to stay on top of production demands. The last thing Mercedes wants is bring an EV to market, only to fall short of the demand. Manufacturing electrics is extremely expensive and time consuming, and we've all seen the difficulties that Tesla has been facing.

Hopefully with all Mercedes is doing for the environment compared to other manufactures in China, this should hopefully rub off. It could for the long term further strengthen vehicle production in China. I just there won't be any build quality issues.
