I wonder if anyone is experincing wipers making terrible noise when working. This is what I have being experiencing with my EQC since I got the car about two years ago. I took it to Mercedes once and all that was done is clean the blades. It has being raining since yesterday and the noise coming from the wipers swing is screeching.

Any car I've ever owned required changing the blades annually, as the rubber tends to get hard over time. Failure to do this, in my experience led to uneven wiping/jumping/screeching. I think you simply need to replace the blades with new ones.

Also, you should clean the windscreen with some kind of degreasing agent. Many cases of screeching and jumping when the wipers sweep are the result of traffic film with the film comprising of diesel and rubber compound from tyres.

What kills the wiper blades more or less instantly is, when you wipe over an iced windscreen. As already mentioned there a several products available to clean the windscreen. You could use some kind of polish liquid to clean and polish the glass. This product is used before applying a windscreen sealing (Soft99 Glaco Glass Compound Roll On).
If you can get it, then go for Bosch Aero Twin wiper blades. They are not cheap, but worth the money.

wow 2 years of use, that is a long time.
I change my every year and they don't cost much, I hate wipers that don`t work, and it is dangerous too.
