Hi, just getting used to my new EQC. There are a few things I was expecting to find in my vehicle that aren't actually there. One is wireless phone charging. This is shown as included in all the marketing material on the Mercedes UK website and my Merc dealer in London even confirmed it to me upon delivery of the vehicle. But it isn't there. When I asked the question of the Merc dealer, the reply I got was that this feature has been disactivated on all EQ models since the back-end of 2021. Obviously disappointing (along with a few other nagging items). Anyone experienced the same issue ?

There has been a lot of talk about the various options which have been delisted in the second half of 2021 and I think the charge pad was one with augmented reality and the burmester system. My car 2021 build came without the augmented reality working but I am on a promise It will be retro fitted when the chip is available. It seems that there was a lot of out of date literature still circulating and dealers were not correcting the info when customers placed orders. If you ordered from a dealership I would go back and ask for compensation for the fact the car is not specced as expected.
Thanks. Yes, in addition to wireless charging, augmented reality and burmester, I've also found that the fragrance dispenser (Air Balance Package) is missing and the Park Assist function has been deactivated (or does not work). Plenty to discuss with my Merc dealer .....
Ah yes Park Assist was another one and that is not EQC specific but right across the mercedes range. I have it but it no longer parallel parks only into car park spaces. As I never use it not an issue for me but it was switched off due to new regualtions which Mercedes system did not comply with. Took out the lane change on the driving assist package too which I do miss😤

I received an unasked for 200 euro on delivery day towards an already nicely discounted (25%) 8m 3phase cable (matching the 4m delivered with the car) I bought plus the promise of the mb augmented reality for which I signed a document confirming I accepted that would be installed later.
My dealer had put together an excellent deal on the car which was non deposit with a penalty free option to change at 18mths (am on a 37mth PCP). so I was quite content with the 200 euro and I appreciated I ordered as the whole issue had just started to kick off.
Have a search on this forum as many people have had some compensation but it will all depend on how you have bought or leased and when you ordered. Good luck😉

I bought a Premium at the beginning of February; no Burmester audio, no wireless phone charging. A bit of a shame but as mentioned, these components were delisted and generally blamed on worldwide chip shortages. Other marques are also doing the same, e.g. no wireless phone charging for Audi, either....
That said, I'm not sure if the latter would have been a non-starter or not. My iPhone 8 doesn't fit in the tray where the charging point was supposed to be, so unless they've changed the tray (not sure why unless the charging loom was integrated), it wouldn't have fit anyway.

Agreed Marko, the lack of a wireless charger would not have stopped me from purchasing the vehicle, but even as I got in the car for the first time at the Merc dealer to drive it away the sales rep reassured me that there is wireless charging. No apology since. But life goes on ...
Our car arrived without the wireless charging, purchased and fitted this, works a treat and looks like it should be there.

Looks better in person but here are a couple of pics. You just need to remove the rubber mat in the compartment and the 12v spring cap (just pops off).
My American EQS 450+, picked up in late April, has the charging pad. One issue is that it is a it too small for the largest iPhone with a cover. No problem for my wife’s standard I phone wit cover.
Cool feature: if you open the door to exit the car and the phone is in the dock that lady who lives in the frunk announces “wait a minute! You’ve forgotten your phone!”

That’s looks great - just to be clear you bought and fitted the C43/C63 version you linked not the GLC one?
Our eqb says it was to have wireless phone charger also, but it does not charge either iPhone 13 or an galaxy s21.
