I do not have the 360 option. To get around the rear camera flap opening, I usually switch off the Parktronic at the start. Going into reverse brings up the icon on the touch screen where one can disable it. In urban setting e.g. stopping at traffic lights, as the speed drops, Parktronic activates and if in the lane next to you, there is a gap between 2 cars, the computer thinks you are trying to park and activates the flap - I think.

Hi, I've had the car for an extended 24-hours test drive (which can be summarized a good experience overall).

The back camera issue did happen a few times but I managed to eliminate it by disabling both Parktronic and a setting called "Warn early all-round" under the camera & parking menu.

The car's SW version was apilevel/ntg6/080

Thanks for your observations, nb_irger.

I just checked and my 'Warn early all-round' function is set to OFF and I think it has been like that since I took delivery of the car. Disabling Parktronic seems to be the most effective way to stop the rear camera door opening 'unnecessarily', other than when reversing (although you can also turn the reversing camera off if you don't want it at all).

I tend to go through the following sequence for each trip:
  • select Individual in Dynamic Select
  • deactivate Parktronic
  • select appropriate speed limit with the Speed Limiter
  • select '-' once in D.
It's a bit of a rigmarole and I wish I could set the first two and the fourth in my Profile so that they become the defaults when I'm the driver.

I previously drove a Honda CR-V and it remembered your most recent Speed Limiter setting, so all you had to do was activate the Speed Limiter when setting out on a drive and the set speed was usually correct for that location.

Yes I also wish they allowed setting the Parktronic off and that it would stay like that on the next time the car starts.
Out of curiosity, can you please elaborate more on the Individual setting of the Dynamic Select? Is there anything you can configure regarding the suspension? I forgot to look at it during the test drive and would like to know what are the options.

Yes, within Individual you can select optional settings in the following categories: drive, suspension, steering and, if I remember correctly, ESP. There are a couple of useful aspects of Individual: you can also elect to receive a prompt when you start the car to press a virtual button to resume Individual - although certain circumstances seem to cause memory loss of that feature - and it seems to remember the Individual setting configuration for the relevant driver Profile, assuming your Individual setting configuration is something other than the Comfort default. A step towards the ideal!

Thanks for the detailed explanation.
So far I thought the suspension in the EQA isn't adjustable as the EQA doesn't have air controlled suspension like the EQC or higher models got.
Do you notice any difference in the driving experience between the different suspension settings?

I find the default Comfort suspension setting a bit 'sloppy', especially in low speed driving, so my Individual suspension setting is 'Sport', which I find takes some of the slack out of the default setting, without creating harshness, or a rough ride. I understand the different suspension settings adjust the damper valving. Someone else might be able to provide a more technical explanation.

Hey all. Can you retrofit the 360-camera system to an EQCAMG ? I assume its just three extra cameras (Front and two wing mirror housing ) plus a microcontroller plus the dashboard control? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
