EQB Charging Issues and Impractical Mercedes Connect Me App Support

I purchased a brand new 2023 EQB300 and I am having a big charging issue with my Mercedes EQB. It is taking 9 hours to go from 20% charge to 100% charge at a Level 2 charger, If I charge it at home it is taking 3 days (start charge on Friday evening completed on Monday morning). I reported this issue to the local Mercedes dealer and they said it is charging as designed. I am wondering if it is really as designed or if it is a settings issue. I have set the program to work and set the maximum charging current to "maximum", even then it charges slow. I am missing something in the settings section here or is this a Mercedes issue?

I assume your 5.2kw experience is at a public charging station. Is it? If so, have you tried other stations? Condtion, power output, etc can vary widely among public charging stations.
Sorry, that was a typo it was supposed to say 5.9kW. I have tried different charging stations and it’s the same result. Is there any setting I can change or a factory setting that can be applied? According to my calculations, it’s is currently take 2-3 hrs longer at a level 2 charger. And home charger even longer.

I don't think its an issue with the car, likely with the charger. The Mercedes supplied Level 1 charger is complete rubbish - mine is limited to 1.7KW, and yes it takes days to to get it from 20-80%. Are you able to configure the peak charging current of your Level 2 charger? My installer used the EVBox Install software to configure the peak charging current of my Mercedes Level 2 charger:
The charger is at work, it works and pulls properly for other cars. My initial thoughts were similar it is the charger, but we saw the charger was getting proper 30A.

So, I am speculating here about this being a charger issue and not a car issue, but here is the thing with chargers. For a Level 2 charger to provide 9.6 KW at 240V, it needs to pull in 40A. If your charger is set for 30A max and say for some reason the input voltage is 200-220V at your charger, then the peak power is limited to between 6KW - 6.6KW. This could be why you are only getting 5.9 KW at the car.

I have a 440V 3 phase connection for the wall box and am able to pull in 11 KW, but only 1.7KW from the Level 1 home charger because it is limited to just 8A peak current.
Correct, and we checked that today it was pulling 30amps, however Tesla using the same charger is pulling 40 amps. How is that possible? I connected the home charger today to see it’s only pulling 1.3kW. Going from 76% to 100% in over 12 hours. If this is the charging situation with only my car, I think it might be a factory defect.

You've probably done this, but just to be sure: have you checked the max allowable amperage setting in the charging app? I had to manually set mine (Chargepoint) to 40A for the home charger specifically after we upgraded our panel.
No, this is what I have been looking for, how did you manually set the amperage setting in the app? The charger I use does not have an app. Is there a setting in the car to set general Level 2 chargers to pull more amps? Also, I vaguely remember when I first setup charging on my Mercedes App it asked me for fast charging or slow charging, did you have this option on the Mercedes app?
